What are you running from?

Two strangers. One road trip. And some things you can’t outrun. A new play by Amy Pan.

Two strangers, betrayed by their families, are thrown together in their shared desire to flee home. Regina, the daughter of a Korean megachurch pastor, runs from a fallen faith. Caius, a middle-aged gay man, refuses to face his shattered marriage. On their cross-country escape, they take turns deflecting through philosophical debate: Is Fate fixed? The car breaks down. A familiar face finds them. A storm brings the road to an end. Not Nineveh asks: how far can Free Will take you–and what happens when it finally runs out?

A modern retelling of an ancient story.
